The Tour
From the Incident on King's Street (sometimes called 'The Boston Massacre'!) to the tarring and feathering of His Majesty's officials, the city of Boston has a long and troublesome history of quarrelsome rebellion. Parliament is trying to stamp out the sparks of Revolution...but could it be too late?
In this three to four hour private tour, you will walk through downtown Boston and explore some of its most iconic historic sites alongside a few that are "off the map" while discussing the early causes of the American War of Independence in depth with your guide, including Boston's culture of civil disobedience, mob violence, and political Revolution which accompanied it.

Q&A
How Long is the Tour?
This private walking tour of roughly 3 miles lasts approximately 3 to 4 hours. This does not include any additional stops you may wish to make for food, museum visits, etc.
Where will we go?
The tour runs approximately three miles long, in which we will stop along numerous spots both on and off the usual map and Freedom Trail. These will include Hancock's Wharf, the Old State House, and Boston Common. For a full detailed path please reach out directly by emailing BrandonF@nativeoak.org
How Large are the Tours?
This is a fully private tour; you will be our only guests! The listed price is for your entire group!
Can You Accommodate Larger Groups?
This tour is intended for small groups of up to ten individuals. However we may make arrangements for larger tours! Please reach out directly via email at BrandonF@nativeoak.org and we can discuss the details!
Is the Tour Family Appropriate?
A general familiarity with American history is helpful, but not necessary for this tour. The tour features a fair bit of political philosophy and statistics, and so may not be enjoyable for young children! If you have young children or only want a brief introduction to the city's Revolutionary era history, Boston's shorter Freedom Trail tours may be a more appropriate fit. For recommendations or to discuss whether this tour is appropriate for your group, please feel free to reach out directly via emailing BrandonF@nativeoak.org
Can We Make Additional Stops?
If you would like to stop partway through your tour for lunch, to visit a shop, see any museums, or even take a detour, we are more than happy to accommodate!
